Willow Street Estuary

Willow Street Estuary
April 27, 2019
9AM - 12PM
After flowing for 20 plus miles in a completely concrete channel from Downtown through the Gateway Cities, the Willow Street Estuary in Long Beach is the beginning of the last natural bottom stretch of the River. Just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, freshwater mixes with saltwater here, supporting a unique ecological habitat and a wide variety of shorebirds.

Willow Street Estuary will be our headquarter site for the third weekend and it will include a kick-off by FoLAR leadership and elected officials, as well as tabling by VIP sponsors and organizational partners. It's also where our LA River Rover will be stationed!
